UDAAN: a unique inclusion activity to bridge the gap between marginalized and the mainstream
We try to engage the residents in various creative activities time to time by celebrating various festivals and engaging them in art, music & theatre. Such activities are crucial for them in order to channelize their energy in a prudent manner and for their holistic healing.

To achieve the same we proposed to use Airtel Delhi Marathon as a platform, which was held on 27th November 2011. 10 residents of Children Home between the age groups of 12 years to 18 years participated in the same. The aim was to present an opportunity to the children of the homes for integrating them as one with other members of the society, irrespective of their psycho-social backgrounds and assure them of our belief in their potential and capabilities that matches, in fact even exceeds the potential of many in our society.

Each participant went through the rigorous training procedure for 1 month under the supervision of a dedicated coach from Sports Authority of India at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. All the 10 girls have been awarded certificate of participation along with their photographs.
